 what is light bank cam misalignment fault |

HI folks i just joined this site
could any one tell me something about this fault on my 2001 vw gti 20 v turbo my mechanic didnt seem to know ;

?? Right bank cam maybe? That doesn't make sense either, since it's an inline engine... Either way, I think it's either trying to tell you that your cam position sensor went kablooey, or that your timing is off, either because the belt or the cam chain hopped.
