This was a nice sized car.. I don't think it's available in America anymore.. Too bad.. Another over-priced Volkwagen.. Big mistake when there's the Audi A8 available.. They should have made this car MUCH less expensive.. It would have sold like INSANITY.. It really is a great, powerful car with a luxurious look to it.. They just over-priced it.. I wish Volkswagen would stop doing that.. They're Volkswagens - not Audis...

Yeah, that IS really nice... Wow...

Ya know what's really cool? You can score a Phaeton, if you're patient enough, for $35k on eBay. Wink

The Phaeton is the greatest car for the Family, big, wide and powerfull, makes this car easy to handle and ready for any situation, I have tried in summer, winter, in southamrica and also europe. Works in every condition.
Interior of the auto is as any other, well designed but like most of the VW models.

The Phaeton is still available for the U.S., Volkswagen took it off the market to see if there was a way that they could lower the price of it. They figured out and so it will be returning mid-late 2008 as a 2009. It is currently still available, but only as an "Order-Only" vehicle. There are brand new 2007's sitting at the Port of Houston right now!

Anyone who is a true automobile enthusiast will tell you that the phaeton was not at all overpriced.... I think it was grossly under-advertised and definitely introduced to the wrong fickle crowd. The construction of the phaeton is like no VW ever built... it is the same frame that Bentley uses for their sedan which is a much more ridged gage than the less impressive a8/s8. If you were ever to drive one you would realize it. The engineering marvels travel from the "central HVAC system" all the way to the staged functionality of the headlight washers, they spray in a staggered pattern as to not blind the driver with overspray. Don’t get me wrong, I understand why it didn’t do well in America... but most people have absolutely no idea how amazing that car actually is. Super quality in all of the materials used...
