Hmmm, although to those of us who could never afford a
Mercedes, then I would say, a Mercedes is a Volkswagon is a car.
Isin't it better to have practical and not expense. I have a friend who
totally redone an old VWbug, and I'd say it was quite the ride!
nice paint, ran great...it's amazing I think it took him like
4 years to do this...Hobby or obsession?...lol

I've seen allot of people talk about the Touareg on different forums and all over the internet they are saying it's the best car ever. But is there anyone that can give me the real deal? Like list the cons as well the as the pros of this car?
No car is perfect, but most Volkswagen's come quite close

I couldn't , I've probably read the same info you have.
I go by word of mouth, if I'm out some where and someone
is driving one, I'll ask them what they think of it...
I have yet to get a negative reply. They all seem to like it.
no problems to mention...so feedback has been good!

I just bought a 2007 on Friday. (45K) I have always owned Landrover's (Range Rover and Discovery II) and this Touareg is a leg up. It drives and rides better than my Rover, has more features and the interior is designed with some common sense. I have never owned or thought about owning a VW until I test drove the Touareg. I was just going to see how they feel, then when I drove it, I decided to buy it. The keyless entry and keyless ignition is the best. I just walk up to the door and pull the handle. It automatically unlocks the door with I am near. To start the car, all I do is put my foot on the brake and push the start engine button. The memory, seat position, mirrors and telescoping steering wheel is great! As soon as it starts, all move to my setting. There are three memory buttons. The front rear and side radar is a plus and folding mirrors to top it off. I love the automatic windshield wipers. I don't have to mess with the intermediate wiper stuff any longer. Its all automatic, great for Washington State. There are no keyholes on the door, to lock and arm the car, I just push a button on the door. Want to ask about options, just ask me.
