 Shell gas bad for 2001 1.8T? |

I've heard some rumors that Shell gas is bad for my 2001 Jetta 1.8T. I find this a bit hard to believe, since I've always heard them to be one of the top tier of gas providers and they've recently launched that Nitrogen enriched cleaning gas. My mechanic has heard rumors about this too, but wasn't able to give me a straight answer.
Has anyone got any more info on this?
