repair footwell |
|
Hi, the footwell in my Polo has worn away near where I put my foot down for the clutch and my heel keeps getting stuck. What is the best material to fill the hole? Will Polyfilla do it or do I need a more specialist product?. Cheers

Hello from Canada, I prefer this, First clean and vacumn the spot. Then get a tub of outdoor silicone. Its important that it be an outdoors product. Obtain some fiberglass cloth used in body work. Put on eye protection and quality disposable gloves. Pre cut a number of pieces of cloth. Mix the silicone and the several layers of the cloth and fill the hole. The thicker and colder it is the longer it takes to set up. Do not be stingy with the layers of cloth. Allan
