Polo 1.4 TDI , right pressure in tires? |
|
Hello,
I need help with adjusting right pressure in tires on my Polo (2008) . My tires are 165 70 R14, and for those tires, on fuel cap it says that i should inflate front to 2.4bar and rear to 2.2bar , but i think it is too much.
today i inflated front and rear to 2.2bar but i think that it is to hard (i feel every bump).
So can someone please suggest what is correct (and safe) pressure to inflate my tires. Also, what would be minimum and maximum pressure?
I am not from UK, so i used BAR for pressure (in UK is PSI ?? ). I hope that this is not problem. Also sorry for my English, it is not perfect but i think that you can understand me.
Tnx in advance!

Hello, 1 bar = 14.5037738psi annd2.2 bar= 32 psi Each tire should be marked with both minimum and maximum psi and bar pressures. Most folks where I live in Canada run 31 or 32 psi. All 4 tires should be set the same as differences cause handling issues under emergency manuevers. Your tires are only part of the bump picture. I wonder how your shock absorbers are? Allan
