 polo 1.4 16v wont start and tickin from relays |

hi every1 i have a polo 1.4 16v its my baby an shes died on me iv had it in the garage and like many 14 16v people say its the electrical system,ie..te coil n the distributor n spark plugs but still no joy and theres a tickin noise comin from the relays but iv changed them n the problems still there,any ideas would be very much appreciated thanks i hope to hear some replys soon

if you take a spark plug out and get someone else to turn engine over while you earth the spark plug off the engine block is there a spark??
start at the end at work you way back through the system till you find something thats not right.

the guy at the garage did that he sed that theres a spark cumin of the coil but not 2 the ecu

the other thing that i would check id the sensor that sends the signal to the coil to tell it to send a current to the dizzy.
not sure where it is on that engine. try the end of the cam shaft.

I had the same problem.. I dried the spark pluggs and look down in the pipes and try a heater to get the water that u dont see away.. becouse for some reason the water just gets in everywhere on this car.. check the coil and try if there is alot of shit on the plugs then scrap em.... and check out the starter might be a problem there ^_^
