Hi .
I have a 2008 Golf 1.6 petrole car ( Mark V ) here in the UAE. It is a six speed auto with the regular engine not the FSI. Have had the car from new and its now done close ot 40,000 KM.
I feel the car is a little sluggish and am interesed in improving on the acceleration and the top end speed. Currently it reaches 180 KMPH max as is totally stock.
Can you guys help with sugessions on what can be done to the car to get increased performance from the powerplant. Can you provide details on venodrs who stock performance accessories for this car.
Also is it possible to fit a Turbo like the one on teh GTI and if so who sells its.
Also off late I have noticed a distinct sideways motion if the accelerator is floored and as the speed climbs between 50 KMPH to 70 KMPH. I can actually feel the car shaking from side to side and tehn after 70 KMPH it evens out. Any ideas on what is causing this.
Looking forward to your views on this.
