Loud ticking sound from hazard/ indicators

I have a 1.4 polo 2001 which is running perfectly fine but there is a continuos ticking sound from the hazard switch.
I took it to a mechanic who said it was the hazard relay switch and changed it and the noise stopped for a day and then returned. I took it back to the garage and the guy said its not the hazard switch it's something else so he took the part out again and replaced it with the old one and then said he doesn't know what else it could be. I then took it to another mechanic who said that I needed flasher relay which I then bought and took back to the mechanic only to learn that he had gone away for 4wks. So I've now decided to try it myself. There are 3 relays located behind the fuse box but none of them match the 1 I have bought[img] Are there any other relays on this car or have I simply bought the wrong part?[/img]
