JUDDERING |
|
Hi there
I have a Polo Reg 02, I bought it last August, but have been experiencing "juddering" when braking from speed. Is this something I should worry about?

Sounds slightly worrying, brake pads ok? They may have defects or not making smooth contact with the wheels.
I'd get that into a garage and checked

Could be warped disc's which WOULD need changing along with new pads, I won't take a guess at the cost but in general it doesn't break the bank (if you pardon the pun)
Good Luck, Tony.

Hello, I live in a part of Canada with severe mountain grades. This issue occurs frequently and is usually a pair of heat warped rotors. They are cheap, and sold as a pair. I think the other respondent meant check to see the lug nuts are correctly tightened. If you do the job yourself, its fast and cheap. Takes me about 20 minutes per wheel to do the fronts. Longer for the rear discs as they have an attached E brake cable. Allan
