coolant level |
|
I have a golf mk5 1.4 fsi and i have to top up coolant level every 2 weeks. Any suggestions?

Hello, The odds are good that you have a minor leak. Look very carefully at all of your hose connections. Then have a carefull look in the area of your water pump. When a pump bearing begins to fail, the mechanical seal starts to weep. Often only an occasional drip. One way to look for this problem is to put dry newspaper down and park on it. After 1/2 hour you may find a drip. If you still cannot find it, the next step is ask a mechanic to pressure test your system. Allan
