2007 Volkswagen Touareg

On September, 28th, 2006 in Paris, Volkswagen presented to the world a new generation the 2007 Touareg.

The first, it is possible to notice is a new forward part of the car. Some elements have been altered in a new fashion and the appearance has changed greatly, though it has remained recognizable. Since the model Passat in all new cars created by Volkswagen has entered as characteristic details of the massive chrome-plated lattice of the radiator. The forward part also has changed due to complex geometry of headlights. 2007 Touareg`s taillights also has minor changes along with the slight change in the bumper, but it is not so appreciable.

Due to these changes the new 2007 Touareg has entered completely into a new modeling series. Characteristics of the car have changed most of all. In particular, a new ABS in brake system has been applied - ABSplus due to which on bad roads the braking distance is considerably reduced. In essence of this technology emergency braking wheels are blocked, clearing away a track. Thus, the braking distance is reduced by some meters. This technology is now applied in all new 2007 Touareg?s.

Even more interesting is a technical novelty the new cruise-control ACC with the function of following and stopping FrontScan. The system itself estimates conditions of movement and defines distance up to movement ahead of the car by means of a radar and having obtained estimated data, accelerates or slows down the car to a full stop. The system SideScan that help at changing lanes is just as interesting. It warns the driver of possible collisions during lane changes by means of the lamps established in external mirrors. For this purpose, it is traces the space ahead and behind the automobile. For the first time, Volkswagen is applying this similar system in their cars.

The new safety system includes a gauge that adds pillows of safety for events when there is a high probability of overturning.

In the Volkswagen Touareg another option is the Dinaudio high-quality audio system. It provides an excellent sound of Hi-Fi class and has 10 dynamics with 620 W of total power. This audio system will please any music fan and undoubtedly, deserve to buy this wonderful sound system.

On the assurance of the developers, the new version of 2007 Touareg with the modified pneumosuspension has better steering by helm in a sport mode and in general, faultlessly behavior on good roads, but just as before will perfectly overcome any impassability.

The main difference of the new 2007 Touareg is its engine, which has never used before by Volkswagen. It is the 8-cylinder gasoline engine with a direct injection of fuel V8 FSI which has more power than the predecessor with traditional injection - 350 h.p. against 310 h.p. Other engines offered include the gasoline V6 FSI (280 h.p.), W12 (450 h.p.), turbo-diesel V6 TDI (174 h.p.), and the magnificent V10 TDI (313 h.p.)

The new Touareg will feature new and revised technology, including ABSPlus and additional ESP (Electronic Stabilisation Programme) features. ABSPlus has been developed and patented by Volkswagen and is a world first.
