2003 Jetta Tail Light issue, possibly electrical issue? |
|
My current dilemma is that my tail lights are not lighting up when i have my lights on. Brake lights still work as do both rear turn signals. I've tried swapping some of the fuses that are labeled for lights, but nothing yet. Anyone have any insight into this problem? Thank you.

I am having the same problems as you are. My left tail light is out, yet all other lights work fine. Bulb and fuse is fine, no frayed or cut wires. VW sent out a recall for it, but of course VW shops are greedy and decieving, so they'll only work on the "brake" light and not the "running" light unless you give em like 400 dollars. My thoughts are that its a wiring harness or computer that runs all the lights in series for the left side of the car. If your left front blinker light or your dash lights go out, thats probably why. my suggestion is to hook it up to a diagnostic computer and let it do its magic
