1997 1.0L polo - oil pressure valve |
|
Hi
Ive got a 1997 1.0L polo thats experiencing a bad problem. There is no oil pressure at the top of the engine. Changed the filter - no change,
oil pump is fine - as it was started up with the filter off. Thinking maybe the oil pressure valve could have gone, as when the oil was drained and filtered there
were tiny bits of metal.
Now I want to change the oil pressure valve but I have no idea where it is and the haynes doesnt have an exploded engine view. Any ideas
Cheers

how many miles are on the polo? i'l have a look and get back to you. are you sure there is a oil presure valve, or am i showing my ignorants, did you ever blow head gasket and allow water into oil galeries. maybe one of those could be blocked with sludge. i mean the oil galeries. or is there metal blocking the oil ports.
