1.8t with tiptronic auto trans combo |
|
I just bought a 2002 VW Golf 1.8t full load with the auto. I really upgraded from the 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier I was driving. I am not used to the power and shifting points of the engine when there is a turbo charger attached.
I have a completely random issue when the revolution sky rocket to 4500 rpm and I dont feel the car go anywhere or the turbo kick in. The only common denominator that I can think of is that the issue arises when I am driving up and incline. Secondly. I have found that if I throttle through first normally then increase the throttle then the power hits from the turbocharger I assume and the car runs extremely well.
Since I am new to the whole import crew, formally a devout domestic owner: I wanted to know what type of oil to run int the car and how often to do some oil changes and usual maintenance.
Cheers,

Hello, I am not a auto tranny expert, however on an incline may be an indication your transmission is low on fluid.Al
